That's pretty impressive looking, but in reality highway miles are incredibly easy on cars. The transmissions basically just stay in overdrive, the engines just see a consistent light load while cruising, the electronics only see about as much use as 1/3rd the # of miles in city driving.
There've been two different articles I've read about two different guys with Chevy Silverados that cleared 1 million miles on the original powertrain. In one case GM gave him a brand new truck in exchange for his old one, and in another case Pennzoil bought it from the guy for quite a bit of money because all he ever used was Pennzoil.

NO surprised at all. Every single Honda/Acura car that my family has owned from mother/father to brother sister to me/wife has all lasted well into the 100K mile, and some well into the 200K mile range without a single motor or tranny problem. Aside from the trannies mated to the V6 J series engines that had problems, all the other trannies and motors are solid. As a family, we have only owned 2 cars that had a replacement tranny. 1st was my old 95 BMW 325i, and 2nd was my old 94 ES300 that I gave to my dad and it recently had the tranny rebuilt at 140K miles.

Threxx, though, brought up a good point. Highway miles, particularly freeway miles with little traffic, are much easier on a car than stop-and-go-driving.

Nice!
It's just like the guy that I've posted here before with the '07 Yaris now with 335,000 miles. He too is a medical courier. Drives up and down Florida every day.
He's got your guy beat for pace.
He just encountered his first repair - a new alternator. Just oil changes, tires, spark plugs, and on his second drive belt.
Crazy how a $14K car will last forever but a $100K car from Germany can't come close.
