Default Lexus IS convertible, saw one in person (no pics)

Got to drive an IS convertable today, my dealer brought one to the house for me to have a look at. Looks way better in person than in the pics. Understandably it is not for everyone and the back seats seem to have less room than a normal IS (that just could be an illusion due to the top being off). The roof folds away fast and it looks very clean when the roof is up. All in all I don't think it is a bad car.

Nice, they bring the car to you for testing...I've seen the IS-C in person and it looks nice with the top down...def more room back there than the SC.

I've seen them at the car show. Personally, like the vw eos, it's a chick car. Very bubbly and "cute" proportions. BMW 3 looks miles more mature imo.

With the SC430 about to be discontinued, I think the IS-C will address what the SC430 lacked: it will provide newer technology, better gas efficiency, more functional rear seats, more trunk room, and for about $30k less to start.

And the IS350C will have almost identical power-to-weight ratio as the SC430 (both are about 300hp, both are about 3800 lbs), making it ride similar (read not too sporty, but enthusiastic enough). It will be the perfect replacement for the SC430, giving the SC460 ( ) a chance to progress the line-up in the near future..

Same thing, they all look the same, specially when there is 1k price difference. People who says 250 is a girl's car and the 350 is not is only trying to make themselves feel better, the exterior is the same, if you like it why does it bother you

I would hope for a new SC in the future, they will go straight to SC500

As for chick cars, I see A LOT of chicks driving the 3-series too ... It's pretty popular with chicks and gays, nothing wrong with that

My g/f says the IS-C is just plain ugly and she will agree that the IS Sedan is likewise a "chick car;" she drives an IS350.

damn I didn't think that was possible. And I see way more chicks in the new C class than the 3 or IS.

Fair enough considering you have an RX and an IS. Soccer mom AND a chicks car.

To everyone else who gets annoyed by the chick car comment: who cares, if its a chicks car means its not bustedly ugly then i can live with that. The IS is a proper drivers car, rear wheel drive, decent power, looks to kill. ill take it. A solara on the other hand............

Maybe it's an aberration of where I live (Chicago suburbs), but I see more chicks driving the supposedly masculine cars than I do men.

Which I guess means there will be lots of guys driving the IS-C around these parts in a few months.
