Have you driven one? For its purpose, I dont think anyone can find the car unappealing at all. It has the gearings and revs to make up for the missing low end torque.

I would never buy more than a 4-cylinder anyway. Some of you make it sound like all 4-bangers are weak and slow. Turbos do work wonders however you usually end up with the gas mileage of a 6-cylinder anyway.

For me, I like compact cars to midsized cars with 4-cylinders. That's just my practical preference.

I have a Yaris S sedan but,

I'd also buy a...

-Civic
-2010 Prius
-2010 4 cylinder Fusion or Hybrid
-4-cylinder Camry or Hybrid
-Scion xD
-Honda Fit

If it was a sports car, then yeah, there are some nice four cylinders - such as S2000, Evi, STi, etc. But for an every day four banger, I would probably end up with A4 or TSX.

I do believe if the government told me I had to buy a 4-cylinder, I would buy a ticket elsewhere.
