S2000? Really? Not only is it about 1/2 the price of most of the other vehicles, the repair/maintenance costs should be relatively low too. What gives?

I guess the same could be said of the Cobalt SS. It must be the owner demographic...

If the car is driven to the ground (and into other cars) by its enthusiast owners, insurance will mark it.

I was actually surprised by the xB being on the lowest-to-insure list. I would have thought that because of the tuner community (and the recent most ticketed car list), it would be more to insure. Alas, you can't push it too sportily to deem it a "high risk" car...

Don't forget, the specific insurance company involved can make a big difference, too. For instance, in my life, I've found that, in general, GEICO has the lowest rates......and some of the best customer service. USAA, which serves military policyholders, also has an excellent reputation.

I've actually seen more crazy drivers.......and kids killed while street-racing.......in Mustang V8s than any other type of car. Yes, there are some good Mustang drivers, but the car, especially in V8 form, for some reason, just seems to attract idiots.

Chevy Cobalt.. LOL! That really sucks for those owners. That car is almost 1/3 the price of most of the cars on that list.

The classifications are wrong! The IS-F is not a sports car, it's a passenger sedan.

Yes Insure.Com and Geico have the lowest rates and best customer service. They are affiliates of each other. Insure.Com handles all the life insurance while Geico handles all of the Home/Auto/ect...Call Geico and you will get Insure.Com for the life Insurance when they transfer you

IS-F insurance is typically lower than this list indicates. S2K and Cobalt SS are funny though, because them being that high on the list is fairly accurate. S2K automatically gets high insurance because it's a 2 door Honda sports car. S2K owners have a bad reputation at insurance companies. Same thing with Cobalt SS owners.

I don't know why, but most SS owners I've seen/met have been really BAD drivers, involved in multiple crashes/fender benders.

Those premiums are ridiculous! The annual premium on my wife's SLK is less than $700.
