I don't see that car selling enough to make any real difference in GM's situation. On top of other issues, the thing is targeted to sell for $40K. 
But of course the Government, the conflict-of-interest owners of Government Motors, may well decide to give buyers about $10K of our tax money with which to purchase one.
With Washington calling the shots for GM, there's no chance that they won't be pursuing this "green" vehicle -- it's too important for PR.
Let's bookmark this page and come back in 2-3 years to see how it went.
