The Mitsu reps said there was little or no chance of them pulling out.....but salespeople are notorious for bulls**t. They'll say anything to get your money.

Today, there seems to be little incentive besides the small but vocal Evo/Ralliart crowd, and the Subaru WRX/STi competition, for Mitsubishi to remain in the U.S. Most of their other vehicles are just not competitive. The Raider pickup, for instance, is just a rebadged Dodge Dakota......and Chrysler is bankrupt. Some people, though, are apparantly still interested in them. I received at least two CL requests in the last month for Mitsubishi reviews; this one and the Eclipse.
