Raleigh, N.C. — Raleigh police arrested a North Carolina State University student last week who was accused of creating a "monster" out of construction barrels and placing it on the side of the road.

Authorities charged Joseph Carnevale with larceny for taking materials from a construction site at a roundabout project to create the monster.

Kids got talent. I think he needs a scholarship instead of a sentence.

They will stifle his creativity, and force him to work in a crappy job where his creativity will shrivel and wither away.

For that alone is the bureaucratic way.

Default WoooooooooooSloooooooooooooooo

That took a LOT of work. Most likely done off site and then delivered to its present position. And it's not a one man job. He had to have had help and transportation. I wonder if the cops tried to sweat him for his accomplices.
Look's like he taking the fall. A stand up guy!

I agree the kid's got talent, but the problem is that he didn't do it with his own barrels. You can't just grab someone else's (or a company's) property and do what you please.

Those cops suck. The cones are creative, artistic, and will still function well to catch the eye of passing motorists to alert them of the construction. Brilliant. This kid deserves an award not a fine

Absolutely and totally agree with this statement. If he had done this with his own materials, it would have been totally a different story. But still ya got to admit, in a construction zone this would def catch your eye. Only thing is in some states this wold go wither way. It could serve as a traffic distraction for those people rubber necking to see just what in the heck that thing is causing people to take their eyes off the road and not concentrating on what is going on in the construction area, such as when a cop sits at the beginning of a construction area to mark it (unfortunately Pa. is VERY famous for doing this on its' interstates. As a former trucker, have seen it many times). It could also be an atention getter to motorist, especially if they were to incorporate one of those digital signs to tell people to slow down. Bottom line, I applaud the kid's originality. Can't say that I can vouch for his methods of going about doing so, but his originality is noteworthy.
