The front is ok, but from the side and the rear this is a very successful design. The interior is pretty gorgeous, especially the patterns on the seats. It's certainly much, much better looking than the new E-class and the old M for that matter.
I hate that they have the doorhandles cut into the character lines on the side. It just looks sloppy. Too bad because that character line and the surface tension below it is pure seduction.

Real world debut in December in LA.
There was no real car on stand but instead there was a plastic/clay model with texture projection over it. Nice
20" rims available!

I am honestly impressed- top performing engines, 7spd autos, and an interior that looks class leading. The exterior looks like a mesh between the G and the Essence, which is about what I expected.
Overall...I am impressed. Great job Infiniti!! I think this already looks like it will be well above the E and XF. We'll have to see what BMW and Lexus deliver, but Lexus really better look like hitting a grand slam with the GS.

the exterior tail lights are a copy of the jaguar XK.
interior is gorgeous i have to admit - i dont like the current M interior but this takes it to a MUCH HIGHER level in design and craftsmanship.
i dont know about the front - it is way too much like the G coupe.
side profile is ripped from the G sedan....interior is awesome...rear tailights - i dont kwno about...seems a little out of place.
overall 8/10

i like the interior. A LOT. with all its waveforms and stuff.
i like the front end.
and i like the integrated spoiler in the back. I've always thought the GS needed an integrated spoiler. the GS butt is too round.
but..... the front 1/4 angle reminds me of a PANAMERA when looking at everything behind the A pillar.
i like how it has a pronounced character line running down the side. but it will take some getting used to.
and a whopping 5.6L in that thing!!!! ohdamn
biggest disappointment is they lost their signature tail lights. They should've adapted the Essence/FX rear end
