its actually pretty open city, not stop and go, I can get thru that 9 miles in 15-20 min. I would prefer a diesel in something like a large truck or SUV if I had one.
Cost prohibitive...Vw has a Golf hybrid netting 80mpg already. It's simply too expensive when a diesel poweplant already costs more than a petrol one...
