The European motoring press has announced their list of candidates for the 2010 Car of the Year award, which was given most recently to the Opel/Vauxhall Insignia. To qualify for the prestigious award, candidates must be on sale by the end of September in at least five European markets.
Sales projections for candidates also must exceed 5,000 units.
The list, published below, could increase, the organizations have said, as the on-sale cutoff date has not occurred.

It's an SUV, and SUVs are cooler than minivans so moms buy them

Its a large, quick, capable vehicle that gets 32 MPG Hwy. Package this system up in an Avalon/ES/IS.

Could have easily used that same line when Mercedes-Benz was rolling out innovations like ABS and Airbags.
We don't stifle progress because it may cost money. Kudos to Mercedes-Benz As they say in their most recent commercial, "If you want to see where cars will be tomorrow, come and see where the 2010 E-Class is today.
