This illustrates the very definition of evolution. That's one thing about MB and BMW. It's never a dramatic overhaul or complete reinvention which is common practice in the rest of the auto industry. These 8 cars are such a smooth transformation from 1st to last.

Yes, that used to be a good approach for helping retained/resale value. But not anymore (retained/resale value).

Possibly because that picture is missing the first generation E class. I only know about it because they showcased it in the Mercedes museum.

has the new E grown on anyone yet?

i don't like the looks as much as I do the features. the new safety features are killer hi tech. I wish i had them in my GS.
laser/radar auto-stop. i wish this were standard in lexus cars. never know when you're gonna doze off.

ah thanks for the info. this is odd, they should have included the first e as well, now suddenly the first pic mike posted become very "odd"...

the new e hasn't grown on me at all unfortunately (at least not the non-amg ones). the headlights and taillights just look very weird to me. nothing like the gen 8 where when it was first shown (i still remember MIB II), i was like wow this is nice

and i agree, the new tech in the new e are quite something, some of them are very nice features

makes the GS seem like a stripped model.

even MAZDA nowadays has the same tech as our 3GS.....

swivel lights- nothing special
300hp- nothing special
mark levinson- nothing special.
VSC- nothing special
where are the safety features?

there's like nothing special about our cars.

so much tech in the E, and only a few thousand $$ more after the new $5000 msrp reduction.

god damn E-coupe only starts at $48k. and that's with REAL leather. not pleather crap.

yup you shouldn't own a car that's practically 4 yrs old. what's your point? the e class is brand new, the gs has been out for years. last time i checked the 08 e class was pretty outdated in terms of tech and stuff too (part of the reason why i dropped the e63)

new cars having good technology is one thing, but i don't understand why people keep on comparing cars that are years apart.

those who can afford, their gs lease would have ended and rolling in something with better techs already

I think the 190 is technically a predecessor to the C-class, correct me if I'm wrong.
