Yup. it will have Ipad.
anyway this is what Equus will do for Hyundai.
1. Change the dealership experience by having Equus in the showroom, their 'halo' car. this will show potential buyers that Hyundai is no longer a cheap value brand because hyundai now has 2 cars over 40k
2. Improve the brand perception. Genesis doesn't sell well, but it improved hyundai's image. this will do the same.
3. won't lose a dime on it because hyundai is only expecting 1200-2000 a year in sales. they are selling plenty of this in korea, so this isn't a bad financial decision
4. make honda look really really bad
and from my recent experience(i own 2 hyundais), hyundai salesman seems to be more educated then ever before. back then they seem to be clueless on things, but now my local salesmen were well prepared on anything that is related to hyundai cars. most of them were well versed on what is GDI, and etc. nothing is worse than salesman not knowing what they are talking about. i think that was hyundai's biggest problem.

Yeah it's unoriginal but damn that's a lot of car for the money. I wonder more and more how does Volvo,Saab, Acura, Infiniti, Lincoln, caddy feel Hyundai offers what they don't.
It's scary to think how good the 2nd gen might get.
Hyundai is simply EMBARRESING those brands mentioned.

How will a " somewhere between $50,000 and $60,000” Hyundai sell?

he never said it will outsell other brands.
anyway brand perception hasn't caught up with their products yet. but i can see hyundai selling well in the future for cars that are priced up to 40k. anything above won't work because hyundai is not a luxury brand.
anyway, hope the long wheel base version comes too. why not bring it over here and try to sell 50-100 a year? hyundai has absolutely nothing to lose. the dimension on this thing is closer to Maybach.

Love this, love the Genesis, love the new Optima and Sportage, and I really like just about everything else Hyundai and KIA are doing at the moment. No reason to make apologies anymore for owning one of their products!
It CRACKS ME UP to see so many people, especially around here, up in arms about their new offerings. Unless they create their own luxury brand and build it up over the next decade or so, Hyundai obviously isn't going to rival the top three for image or prestige. But it is already getting VERY close in terms of specs and execution of product (if you're being objective). This is clearly making a LOT of people around here VERY insecure, and it's making me laugh like hell. All the vitriolic responses and negative reactions show just how close Hyundai is hitting the mark. This is the EXACT same attitude Benz/BMW people had when Lexus/the Japanese hit the scene.
Hyundai will never be a Tier I brand. No one expects that. Will/can they create a Tier I brand in due time? ABSOLUTELY. The thing haters and the competition should be afraid of is that every time Hyundai/Kia has released a new model lately, it's been pretty much the equivalent of TWO generations ahead of its direct predecessor.
Oh well, you know what they say...........
