A very entertaining take on the SLK from Australia's Car Advice. Worth a read even if you don't like the SLK. Kinda makes me want to take the AMG version for a coastline drive by the Whitsundays, now that the hurricane (cyclone) has passed. Cleverly written review.

Mercedes SLK 55 AMG Tweaked by AMG's Performance Studio

Mercedes-AMG’s Performance Studio customizing division strikes again with a unique Mercedes SLK 55 AMG.
The roadster features a “designo leather red pepper” interior, two-tone alcantara AMG Performance steering wheel and a gear selector in nappa black and alcantara. The SLK 55 AMG is also equipped with AMG sport bucket seats taken from the SLS AMG Coupe.
The black alloy wheels feature red accents that match the red pepper interior, with other exterior design tweaks including a matte black twin pipe AMG high-performance exhaust system.
No changes were made under the hood, with the SLK 55 AMG retaining the standard naturally-aspirated 5.5-liter V8 engine that produces 422PS (416hp) and 540Nm (398 lb-ft) of torque. Mated to a 7-speed AMG Speedshift automatic transmission, the engine allows the SLK 55 AMG to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds, with an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph).

Features new bumpers and revised side skirts
Following a preview in November, Wald International has unveiled their new Black Bison package for the Mercedes SLK (R172).
Designed to have an "overwhelming presence," the convertible has been equipped with a new front bumper that has LED daytime running lights and larger air intakes. Moving further back, we can see aerodynamic side skirts and a new rear bumper with an integrated diffuser.
The styling package costs ¥464,400 ($4,567 / €3,355 / £2,688) and customers can also order a carbon fiber rear spoiler for an additional ¥73,440 ($722 / €530 / £424). This particular car has also been equipped with special alloy wheels and a four-tailpipe sports exhaust system but there's no word on pricing for these two components.

2016 Mercedes SLC spied, will replace the SLK

The 2016 Mercedes SLC has been spied undergoing testing in Europe.
Essentially a facelifted and renamed SLK, the SLC features a familiar appearance but adopts a new front bumper, a revised grille and restyled headlights. We can also see restyled taillights which will likely be joined by a new rear bumper and a modified exhaust system.
While the styling changes are relatively minor, the model could receive some new engines from the C-Class. The range-topping SLK 55 AMG could also be replace by a SLC 63 AMG that features a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine that develops 476 PS (350 kW) and 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) of torque.
