Fixed

Would have been nice if they produced it even if only for a very special few.

To drop the DTS is bad enough, but if they are going to do so, they at least will need to replace it with a similiar car that will have the same appeal to Cadillac's traditional customers. To ignore them will be to possibly bring on another set of financial problems.....they should have learned from what has happened from the recent bankrupcy. The often-used argument that many of Caddy's core customers are aging, irrelevant, and won't be around much longer doesn't hold much water either, because they will soon be replaced by a lot MORE over-60 customers as the huge Baby Boom generation retires.....and wants big cars with cushy rides. So, let's hope the XTS will appeal to them as the DTS did.
Couldn't agree more; sure that generation of people is starting to diminish (to put it mildly) but those people still have lots of purchasing power left so to cut them out may not be so smart.

re: Baby-Boomers - agree on that too, older people like cushier cars. Why? because the body can only take so much abuse and I have to say, when I ride in the STS I really enjoy being oblivious to every imperfection in the raod.

As a side note: I like 16" rims, even 15" rims ... with big fat WIDE tires. This painted-on amount of rubber is starting to really ware on me. If it weren't for the brake clearing requirements I would have an even bigger issue with the massive rims; but I digress.
