yuck

totally ugly.

the rear looks like it was designed by the Chinese.

i can't comprehend the black C pillar. it makes the pillar look like it's supported by a string of chrome.

i can imagine that some people will paint the C pillar

front reminds of a Volvo

Overall its mediocre at best. The front end looks good and very similar to the concept. Aggressive and imposing. Huge grill and those sexy cat like headlights. The side isnt to bad IMO, but they totally dropped the ball designing the rear.

THey had a nice idea by blacking the C pillars out, to make it appear like the rear window runs into the side windows (all one piece), but the execution is POOR. They forgot about the chrome trim. Its confusing to look at and leaves me scratching my head wondering "what were they trying to accomplish?"

THe rear end looks like something Renault, Puegoet, Citroen, Skoda or one of those other crap European brands design. Its very plain. And those tailights look like they belong on that Kia or a Lincoln or an older Cadillac.

It seems like the designer had many good ideas, but could not figure out a way to make it all work. Im a little disappointed.

Wow that roof, windows, rear is all a mess. Such a letdown compared to the stunning XF.

IMO all the European automakers concentrate mostly on front end and ignore the design of the rear.

I don't like the back which looks like that of Bentley Continental....very ugly.

looking at the rear end alone, the continental looks better

take off the logo, and it looks like something made in china

If that is the new XJ it's a bit surprising, given how the XF looks and how Jaguars have looked previously. But Jaguar is in a different place now, with the transition to new ownership and all. In contrast to its more curvaceous (and GS-like) exterior, the XF interior is rather spartan and plain. It seems a bit like some of that approach has been taken to the exterior of the XJ, at least from these pics. Maybe in person it will look better, but the LS/7 style rear lights and design seem to have more visual interest and authority.

The rear is a carbon copy of the lincoln MKS....thats the first thing i thought of looking at it.

This car is beautiful especially the 3/4 angle profile and the front...just gorgeous.

I wish they would have just kept the side profile identical to the C-XF concept....even the rear on the c-xf concept was gorgeous and perfect.
