I think the car looks great, but then again I think the current XJ is a very nice looking car, minus a slightly boring interior.

Looking at the pics and the youtube video of this car I was absolutley captivated by the car and then I got to the rear end. Only word that came to mind was WOOOOWWOOUUCCHHH!!!!! The front facia is stunning, love the grill and headlight design, the interior is gorgeous, and then that rear end; what happened?? Not too sure on the side profile of this car, as it does look to be a VERY long car and something about that profile is just throwing it off to me. The rear end, could have been done better. First thing that came to mind when I saw it was the re-birth of the tail lights from the Kia Amanti.

It has a very nice elegant design and it is definitely going to get noticed. Rear end might me a little odd in some pics but it looks good in motion. Interior is very nice but a little too techy for a Jaguar flagship, I wish it resembled more of a Rolls Royce/Bentley interior in some aspects. To me it is a very elegant design and is much nicer then the S class, 7 series, and LS, and may be a little nicer then the A8 but I would have to see it in person. I have a feeling if it drives well and gets good reviews the XJ will be a pretty big hit for Jaguar and what buyers have wanted from Jag for a long time.

After seeing the LED taillights in action (with three strips of lights that, according to Jag, resemble "cat scratches" [kinky] ), it's quite fluid and appropriate.

Yes, the trunk bulge is bulbous and prominent (like the Solara's), but a well-designed spoiler should give it an edge...

the thing is you're getting old enough to be in the target market for these cars that are growing on you... these marketers are good.

listen to that growl. I want that growl on my car.

the C Pillar thingy gives it a roof spoiler effect, i guess.

Classy and elegant inside and out! At first I did not like the tail lights of the BMW 7 series but they grew on me and to me the tail lights look better on the XL.

Move the liscense plate holder to the trunk and you have a winner in my book!

I think it looks great; can certainly hold its own with any of the other full size lux sedans; with new owners, I wonder if/hope there will be a push with this car to up Jag's share of the segment. The interior is really where this release breaks with the 7 and S-class and I think it's going to end up paying off nicely.

As long as Jag holds on to reliability gains and there are not major 1st year issues, I think this will be a winner IF Jag spends the money to promote it.

Ok, now I'm convinced this thing has serious road presence. And that engine note is as head turning as the car itself.

it looks decent from exactly straight behind.

but a rear 3/4 angle, the tail lights look too close together and awkward
