the interior is strikingly beautiful. I love the way the wood wraps around the entire front of the cars interior. It makes it look classy, and even defines the edges and makes the interior seem larger. I am not as into the exterior though

Jay Leno's introduction of the car and the rest of the unveiling including Ian's comments
"From the rear, you wont forget me"
lol
it has this dual view central screen that allows driver to look at the GPS map while passenger can watch a movie on simultaneously
i remember we had a thread about that technology a while back, good to see it trickling into a production vehicle now and im glad it is the XJ

this jag makes all the Lexus tech obsolete.
i'd like to see plasma screen instrument panel and center console.
Although i'd never buy a jag, I'm glad they're pushing the envelope and prodding other lux automakers to strive for more.

This is getting old and played out. LExus tech is up there with the best. The new HS has tech shared with the LS. The GS is old it will get newer tech when it debuts.
This Jag DOES NOT make Lexus tech obsolete. It does have some nifty things but remember the XJ is playing serious catch up.

ah, i remember the W202. my parents had one, a 1994 C280. Horrible car. lol
i remember the car well, and that wood wrap around on the dash. The car had an actually phone in the compartment. monthly fee was close to $50 a month with minute restrictions. good ol' benz. This was before cell phones became main stream though

CLK had that wood wrap around too
but Jag takes it to a much bolder degree, using a rainforest of wood in the car
and it is more continuous so seems a lot more luxurious
gorgeous interior...
i really want one now

I also like this wrap-around wood touch. I think for a while there luxury cars had lost some of the finer touches, good to see them coming back again.
