LOL my friend just told me he was messing with me. He keeps hearing how i call it a solara so he thought he'd mess with me. It's just an elongated IS.

fail on my gullible ***.

I'm trying my best to stay loyal to Lexus but they're making it difficult for me.........

The trunk is about the same size as the SC, a bit smaller? Either way, trunk capacity sucks.

Enough of my rant, as you can read I am still bitter. lol
See, all hope is lost if us loyalist are having a hard time staying with lexus

Seems 85% are IS 250s.....Lexus like BMW/Benz is smart to offer multiple engine choices.....We all know most convertibles are cruisers....perfect market for the IS 250.

ah yes, i lost my loyalty too

on the 3 series it's actually pretty interesting, of all the e93 i see on the road, i am surprised to see quite a few 335. like you said i'd expect to see more e93 328

all the lexus cars i have seen throughout the years, some are just pure gorgeous (ls460l, 2gs, etc...) some are ok by my book (rx300, etc...) but honestly, the is-c is probably the first lexus where i see and think it's simply ugly. even the HS don't look that bad

damn the base price for 350c is 51k?! what makes lexus thinks that people will choose the is350c over the bmw 335c? by the way, the base price for 335c is a little less i believe.

Base price for an IS350C is $43k. Most IS350C allocations are fully loaded (profit margin is less), hence the $51k price tag.

Base price for a BMW 335C is $51k. A similarly loaded Bimmer is $63k.

Wouldn't a fully-loaded and more expensive model have a higher profit margin?

Sure kinda like a diamond. Typically a lesser priced item (chewing gum) has a lower profit margin and an expensive priced item (diamond) has a higher profit margin...

Its wrong. 250 starts at 38k and 350 44k. The 328 starts where the IS 350 does, 44k. The 335 is 51k (edit Phil beat me to it)

The sticker price for a navigation IS250-C (or whatever its called) is around $47,000 - imo too much for an underpowered little 250 engine which isn't strong enough to pull it on freeway onramp to my satisfaction.

Seeing the sticker was the final "nail in the coffin" for me as far as once considering the IS-C. I almost fell over when I saw that.

Too bad, really.

the unfortunately fact is that convertibles are all priced quite a bit higher than what they are "worth" imho. same thing on the bmw 3
