WOW, and i thought the free mint I got was the bomb...
At sewell Lexus(10 mins away from me), you get to pick a cookie or a chocolate mint when you pay for your service. And they lost my car twice... first, I thought the cookie was because I had to wait 10 mins for them to find my car. HA

I got the F FOB after buying the car. But not even after a service, sometimes I am in there just for a car wash and they give away stuff. I can't even remember half the stuff they have given to my wife the kids and I.
I want the IS-F mascot teddy bear for my 2 year daughter, but I don't think they are going to give away something that is worth $400! I may just end up buying it.

Yeah, giving little presents is a way of life here. Some of the great stuff the dealers come up with here is incredible!

South Bay Lexus Service Center (separate location from the dealership) has lots of cookies, pastries, teas and coffees, don't remember what else... but I don't recall getting gifts like a pen or a pen pad..

I've never gotten anything after service. They do have free muffins, croissants and cappucinos in the "guest" lounge.
I guess I can't really complain. I went into a Kia dealership the other day and my friend bought a car and they didn't even offer us a soda or anything. They didn't even have a showroom, as all of the cars were outside. Nothing inside.

and either way, you're paying for them anyway.

Yeah, but you can see from my original post that one of the dealerships seem to be a little more generous than the other, even though they don't charge a higher hourly rate for their services. A good pen or a cheap calculator with pad cost more than a newspaper right ? That's why I started this thread, just curious to see what different dealerships do.
