I get nothing from my two dealerships (Lexuses of Serramonte and Sacramento). I'm moving to Canada. Or Japan!

I agree with mmarshall though, the best gift is to get the job done correctly.

WOW, and i thought the free mint I got was the bomb...

At sewell Lexus(10 mins away from me), you get to pick a cookie or a chocolate mint when you pay for your service. And they lost my car twice... first, I thought the cookie was because I had to wait 10 mins for them to find my car. HA

I once got a free bottle of water from the cashier because they called to say my car was ready, but forgot they had it at their 2nd service lot so I had to wait another 30 minutes.

That's the best they could do? Not impressed.

I want the IS-F mascot teddy bear for my 2 year daughter, but I don't think they are going to give away something that is worth $400! I may just end up buying it.
Netz Toyota always gave me free stuff.... My favorite is an Altezza RS200 ChoroQ I got when I just asked for a catalog But I think it's a Japan thing.

Yeah, giving little presents is a way of life here. Some of the great stuff the dealers come up with here is incredible!

Yeah, & he could have drank several bottles of juices or coffee during his 30 minutes wait in their lounge anyway, so a bottle of water is nothing ...

South Bay Lexus Service Center (separate location from the dealership) has lots of cookies, pastries, teas and coffees, don't remember what else... but I don't recall getting gifts like a pen or a pen pad..

I've never gotten anything after service. They do have free muffins, croissants and cappucinos in the "guest" lounge.

I guess I can't really complain. I went into a Kia dealership the other day and my friend bought a car and they didn't even offer us a soda or anything. They didn't even have a showroom, as all of the cars were outside. Nothing inside.

so... you got gifts, but you don't seem to like them, so what WOULD you like?

and either way, you're paying for them anyway.

Actually, I like the pens they gave me, good quality pens I would clip on my shirt, but non-expensive, and I don't expect them to be

Yeah, but you can see from my original post that one of the dealerships seem to be a little more generous than the other, even though they don't charge a higher hourly rate for their services. A good pen or a cheap calculator with pad cost more than a newspaper right ? That's why I started this thread, just curious to see what different dealerships do.
