There's a reason why a 328i costs so much more, and it's not just becuase it is from Germany.
bmw is more expensive just because......

yep. no good reason.

have you seen the cheap plastics in the 3 series? they chip and scratch, and lose their paint. Just check the bimmer forums. Even the steering wheel leather or whatever it is, peels.

I felt the same way after test driving the 335 back in the day. The dash plastics look like they were taken from a mustang. The cheap interior and the dwarfed size of the car drove me to the larger Lexus GS350. The 3 series seems more like a coupe that they turned into a sedan. The sedan is sooooo small

I agree, Hyundai motor's total asset for 2008 is only a little over 100 million dollar. I dont see how they can invest 5000 times their asset into the Genesis.

Jury is still out on this one.

Initial quality doesn't mean much to me personally. Anyone car make a car look good, but can it sustain?

Lexus has won due to its stellar reputation for decades now. Hyundai has yet to prove that.

I agree, there have been a lot of car which had a successful launch and fail later on, I am not saying the Genesis will fail, but lets just wait and see before we declear Hyundai the new Lexus.
