im guessing they mean overpriced when they do a price/features measurement on these vehicles and comparing it to other cars in the same price range.

Yes, but that doesn't not make them desirable cars unfortunately.

They have gotten better looking. There for a while, especially in the '60's and '70's their styling department seemed to be run by cartoonists. they have suffered a number of relapses since . . .

Of course in the meantime Pontiac delivered the Aztek, and Ford several lumpen blobs on wheels, and Cadillac a few collections of razor blades stuck in an eraser. Only at Chrysler was goofy styling raised to high corporate art.
