Thats pretty much what you would expect from a government owned car maker. I know this, I lived in USSR.

The Camaro was fully designed prior to being bailed out by the government.

GM's problem has been within itself (poor engineering), not with infused bailout money.

Well, whichever way it may be, its a shame that our tax money went to waste to bail out a incompetent company that makes pitiful products.

So it appears that GM finally made a PR statement regarding these caliper weights. Apparently they are utilized for perfect 50/50 weight distribution.
