Wow. I guess..........................................

Rankings, appeal studies, and all this wishy-washy stuff doesn't do much for me.

Interesting that the Buick Lucerne rated so highly. It was on the sub-file of the 10 most improved cars.

Wow, good for Volkswagen, even if it's from the shady as hell JD Power people. So I guess this makes the brand the winner? Near the top in resale value, customer satisfaction, and now Appeal? I guess their second to last reliability placing in the JD Power doesn't hurt their premium priced, premium equipped, and premium performing cars.

Google the Super friends & wonder twins cartoon of the late 70's early 80's.. J.D Powers surveys switches up as much as the wonder twins. Do you get the anology?

Ahh, ok, I remember them now. JD powers initial quality and long term reliability reports are pretty consistant. Surveys like this one really dont mean much and can change from month to month.

Low reliability does not necessarily mean low customer satisfaction. The Corvette, according to Consumer Reports, has always ranked extremely high in owner satisfaction, despite often poor reliability. Same, to an extent, with the BMW 7-series and some Mercedes models. They often spend more time in the shop than out, but rate high with their owners.

VW has been in a quandry now, in the American market, for years. Their products do have appeal (I myself have an extremely high opinion of the 2.0T-DSG combination), but are not backed up with good reliability or dealer service.
