Default Why are $30k cars so ugly?






The IS is least offensive, but sorta has that cheap toyota look, and is built for midgets.


the only one that takes the cake is audi

The only one I find offensive is the Acura because of that gawd awful beak.

Except for the silly parrot-beak, it generally looks better than the TL, though the interior of the 2009 TSX, IMO, is a letdown from that of the 2008.

This car, the Mazda3, doesn't quite make the 30K range (loaded Grand Touring models can run mid-high 20's), but, nevertheless, it has, IMO, one of the the most outlandish grilles in production today.

this is easy answer, because if 30k cars looked really nice, nobody would buy the 40-50k cars... sure the size becomes little bit better on the 40-50k cars, but not by much IMO. Also the money spent in designing 30k car is lot less than 40k, 50k etc... I think 30k cars are design to look decent (depending on your standards of course). I think A4, ES350, C350 are "good enough" looking cars for the price range...

The CTS's chiseled front headlights, admittedly, are polarizing. Some think they are ugly.....others not. I generally am of the latter view; I don't think they are ugly at all.
