Ok, here are my thoughts about it. Since "The vehicle costs more than 50k when equipped", I take it that it costs less than 50K non or slightly equipped. Therefore, Porsche, Lexus, Caddy, M5, M3 and X6 are off the list. We are only left with X5, 135i, 335xi or Vette. Considering his love for BMWs, I think this one is also going to be a BMW. And since out of his current fleet the most probable one due to replacement is RAV4 - the new one has to be an SUV - hence X5.
I might be wrong though.

Hope it's not the 335xi, as I really didn't like the steering feel on that compared to the 335i (it is very different).

There is a dealer in Nor Cal with a similar set-up with multiple levels. Likewise, inventory sits in there, not cars awaiting delivery...
