I miss when mercedes made cars like these, real german tanks, on a side note, the way that s600's hood opens is incredible, opens straight up, at first i thought it was broken or something

The engine in the 600 pullman is a 6.3l V8 which was the number 1 power house for many year's. This is why the new amg's are called 63's its in honor of the old power houses.

those cars have two stage openings. They have the first "normal" stage, then if you release the latches on the sides, you can pull it vertically. Makes working on the car a lot easier if you have the roof space.
