Traded in the IS 250 for this.....
Saturday my wife and i dropped by the nissan dealer to check out the new maxima. we recently had a baby and the IS simply was not large enough. got a great deal on the maxima - fully loaded with nav, bluetooth and everything else. only regrets are not getting the 19" wheels and spoiler. easy things to fix. let me know what you guys think and you experiences with this car.

Congragulatons on both the car and becoming a father. Nissan, today, is doing some of the best CVTs on the market.
I'd pass on the 19" wheels, though. My guess is your that wife wouldn't like the stiffer ride (I don't like a stiff ride myself), and she probably wouldn't want it for the baby either.
A side note: whenever possible, have the baby ride in back, in car seat, and never use a rearward-facing infant seat if the baby is ever up front........that can put the baby's head very close to the front air bag, with potentially very bad results. You and your wife will like the fact that all new cars now have built-in latches on the top of the rear seats to make attaching child-car seats easier and safer. Some minivans even have DOT-approved built-in child seats in the regular seats that just pull right down.....but you usually won't find those in sedans.

I love the Maxima. You made a great choice. I like this generation Maxima more than any of the past ones. The fender lines make the car look mean and very masculine. The Altima is more for women imo
