I just sent mine to a new owner 3 hours ago...

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/car...01-2009-a.html

I'm really sad, but at the same time really excited for my next car.

Yea I just saw that thread, I wondered what happened (and posted as such) but I was fairly certain that's what it was.

to me, my old car is like my ex-girlfriend...always think about her when she's gone and sad you don't see her anymore. but the new girlfriend rocks your world, and you don't think about the ex anymore. for you faymester, substitute boy to above.

Porsche cars make me sad when sold, others less so.

It is normal, I get sad when a car goes away, because you have so many memories.

I'm just hoping that the right type of person comes along; I would really hate to sell it to someone who will treat it like any other appliance.

mmhmm... my smart's going in for a trade in 2 weeks =(. It was a great car. Took me across the country without a hitch, fun-to-drive, drew attention (sometimes bad ones) but the time has come to upgrade.

I hate it when you sell a car locally and it's in great condition prior to the sale, then you see it next.. and the car is butchered. I havent had my LS400 in a good 5 months and saw the guy yesterday. From a far the car looks great, but when you pull up beside it, you can see all the scratches and dents. The car was also covered in bird ****, along with some sticky substance (Almost like someone threw a soda at the front end). All the years I kept that thing in Pristine condition didn't matter much at the point. So much wasted effort

I've been there & done that. You become emotionally attached to cars that you've babied.. What will you miss in particular with the IS if sold Fay?

That's the reason why I still have my IS350 in the garage. Just too difficult to let her go. She gave me absolutely zero problems in these 4 years I had her. We went to places together, and we did stupid things and she witnessed them all. I love that car and I don't care how much the next guy pay me. I know my car will never be the same once I let her go.

Who would have though you would fall in love with a car eh?

I was really sad to see my 04 C5 rolling out of my driveway with a new owner behind the wheel. It was my first and probably last brand new Corvette I had purchased.
