Lotus announces factory-developed supercharger kit for Elise and Exige
Lotus Cars USA has officially announced a factory-engineered, warranted, and 50-state legal supercharger kit for all Lotus Elise and Lotus Exige models powered by the Toyota 2ZZ-GE engine.
The kit utilizes the same supercharger and intake manifold as fitted to the production Lotus Elise SC. Along with revised engine management and new high-flow injectors, power climbs from the stock figures of 189 hp / 133 ft-lbs of torque to 218 hp /155 ft-lbs of torque. Peak torque also arrives earlier at 5,000 rpm compared to the naturally-aspirated motor’s peak torque figure at 6,800 rpm.
