"Both bikes caught fire and one rider ended up in hospital after a burnout competition went disastrously wrong at the weekend.
Neil de Jersey’s Yamaha FZR1000 EXUP burst into flames shortly after he stopped his burnout, with the fire leaping onto his burnout rival’s GSX-R too.
The Suzuki’s flames were soon put out but the EXUP received a throrough roasting.
De Jersey, who is said to be recovering well from his burns, won the competition, won a set of tyres, but he has no bike to put them on."

good point. I just dont like bikes because I have had three friends killed on them in college and high school and had a patient who was hit from behind and had his leg completely severed . Its not worth it. I would rather get a powerful roadster like an s2000

I agree, the danger is not worth it IMO. I lost a close family member last year, he was hit head on, not his fault. Helmet did not save his life.
