It's so refreshing to read a comparison that is both fair and concise. Thumbs up for popular mechanics. As expected, the two cars cater to a different audience. For 50k in the 335d, I'd rather take the 335i instead, or step up to the e90 m3 for a few k more.

I paid 1000 over invoice on my 335D and got an additional $4500 from BMW on top of that. Add in the $900 tax credit and the 335D makes more sense.
