the 37 mpg would be for their 2012 lacross that will have some kinda engine assist, not sure how it works.
either way, that's going to be killer! 30-37 mpg on a full size like lacrosse is something I would want.

The 2010 Buick LaCrosse is the best car no one will buy.
Pros: Good ride, lots of luxury and low starting price. One of the best big luxury sedans for the money on the road.
Cons: Overcoming Buick's reputation.

it's supposedly selling well, but it's nowhere close to the success of the hyundai sonata.
just by looking at edmunds user reviews, the sonata has surpassed 400 reviews where as the lacrosse barely has 100, and a lot of the user reviews of the lacrosse are negative with a lot of complaints where as most of the sonata reviews are positive.
