Not really that popular, thankfully, but we do see some.

Agreed ^ I think us smokers are badgered enough lol. Decent list overall though.

I still believe these windows should be standard on a car, or at least an after market mod...

This seems to be growing in popularity. I think it will be my blog this week. There is no functional purpose for this outside of advertising "hey I wish I had a RWD car and was cool like you but I'd rather drive around and look like an idiot".

YES!

A good friend of mine used to have an old Cougar (absolutely loved that car in all it's land yacht glory) & it had these windows, they were awesome.

Yep I've only seen a couple, but it's certainly not functional.

Although as much as I like staggered on my RWD cars, I know it's more about style than function/performance, with the exception being Porsches of course.

staggered wheels on a FWD will induce more understeer lol, probably terrible at handling

It also does the same thing for RWD cars as well. If you went staggered on a FWD car and significantly increased the rear spring and damping rates you can get the car to handle more neutral. You just have to know your suspension tuning dynamics

More neutral? Hardly. Higher threshold of grip, maybe, but far from neutral. Everyone knows that rule #1 in FWD suspension tuning is never stiffen just the rear suspension. If you find yourself flying through a turn a bit too fast, your toast. One lift on that throttle and the back end is going to be coming around with no hope for recovery. It's the very nature of FWD. Stiffening the rear end will only exacerbate the problem.

Some cars have the tow hook there because that car is a track car. Most tracks require you to have a tow hook.
Most of the cars with exposed tow hooks are just doing it for show though.

I have to agree with the large wheels with no drop. actually any wheels with no drop is a pet peeve of mine. it just does not look right

along with that, the fender vents that are on just about any car now a days.

neons - have to be the most tackiest thing ever since chrome door trim.
