Oh man, not surprised, I live on that street but a little further down, cars drive fast down it all the time. My family's old 1988 Chevrolet Nova was hit once by a speeding car while it was parked on the street that's why we try to keep our cars in the driveway.

In reply to MMarshall: The accident was televised on the evening news, Channel 4, I believe. The woman administering the blow to the back of the young driver's head was identified as his aunt by the reporter on the scene.

Well here's the update. The child in the backseat died and both these boys are facing 15 years for manslaughter
Prosecutors plan to upgrade the charges against two drag racers involved in a crash that killed their 12-year-old cousin.
David Badalov, 18, and David Lakhchakov, 16, will be charged with manslaughter, the DA's office said. Aviv Babayev, injured last Wednesday, died Sunday.
Badalov and Lakhchakov are each being held on $250,000 bail and face 15 years in prison if convicted.
