I have long-wondered how hard would it be to add the LS 430's SmartAccess system to the SC 430, IMO they should've done that.

 

yes Acura is a competitor with Lexus. look at the cars that sell the most for each brand. The new TL is probably more car for the money than an ES350. Let not diss Acura because we dont like them as much. They still turn out decent entry level luxury sedans

 

I think lexus is definately seen to be higher than acura and infiniti. They may be competitors, but not direct ones. While 'true' german enthusiasts deny that lexus is a true luxury brand, mainstream america sees it on par with bmw and mercedes

 

It is not a competitior head on, its a brand for loyal Honda fans to move up to. The TSX undercuts anything Lexus makes. The TL battles the ES and somewhat IS but is waaaay bigger. The RL battles the GS but only has one model. The RDX undercuts the RX. The MDX battles the RX/GX. The ZDX is an answer to a question no one asked.
Nothing to battle the IS head on,.
Nothing to battle the IS-F.
No convertibles to battle the IS-C or SC
No V-8s
No 4x4s
No LS competitor
No LX competitor
No HS competitor
Nothing to battle F-sport parts
No hybrids

Now are they a competitor exactly? Not knocking them, those are the facts.
