Do you honestly believe the "mass public" to be true auto enthusiasts?

^^^ So would you say that the "more people" consists of "car enthusiasts" or "general car consumers"?

There are plans for Mustangs to be joining NASCAR, too....or is that what you meant by your post?

That feature, I believe, has been carried forward on the new Mustang, and is now even better. On the old one, as I understood it, you could change the dash-light colors only by a fixed, service routine. On the new one (though I haven't tried it myself yet), you supposedly can change it, anytime, just by simply adjusting a dash control.

i'd bet a greater percentage of mustang buyers vs. 370z buyers are nascar fans

but i think nascar is a giant joke due to naming the cars they drive after street legal vehicles when the nascar cars have NOTHING in common with them.

not sure i understand, but i think both mustang and 370z buyers are car enthusiasts with mustang buyers enjoying the sound and brute power and the 370z buyers enjoying the overall vehicle driving competence. put another way, i don't really think of a mustang as a sports car, but i think the Z is.

the Z not a sports car????? Funny. I guess we will call it a luxury sedan. The 370Z will run with Porsche and will dust a V8 mustang ( fact). I am sure some of us could call it a sports car without being laughed at to much. LOL

DOH i goofed typing the post, and corrected it now, i had started the sentence "i don't really think of a mustang as a sports car, but " (obviously meant to type the z IS) and then somehow typed "i don't think the Z is." scratch the "don't". the z car is a sports car!! some iterations of it weren't like the first gen 300z (or maybe it was 280z) which was huge.

I like both, the new Mustang(s) have been great. The 370Z has newer tech but its smaller and the styling is odd to me.

Tie for me, I'd be happy with either.

I knew the response sounded weird. I read in a tuner magazine that a 370 Z is currently in the Greddy garage being fitted with a prototype twin turbo system
