Lexus IS and Infiniti G37 Convertible comparo

I would go with the G37 personally. Infiniti is still more geared for a sporty and more direct feel. The IS looks a bit weird as well. Its a shame that the 2nd generation G coupe had to turn ito such a fat pig. The convertible is just a fatter fat pig. This car gained several hundred pounds relative to the last generation

This is a matter of tastes and priorities. Both trunks are damn near useless so just be prepared to throw stuff in the back seat. That said I do think the G looks head and shoulders better than the IS, top up or down. I'm more drawn to the G myself. Its advantages over the IS significantly outweigh any disadvantages it may have.

I think of the 3 series, G37 , and IS350c the bext looking in convertible trim is the G37. Its doesnt lose its nice lines like the BMW or the Lexus when the top is up

I like the 3-series convertible best in everything, in performance and looks, top up or down, blows the other 2 away.
The G37 convertible looks pretty bad with the top up, just like the IS350 convertible. I actually think the 3-series convertible looks even better than the coupe version with it's top up, and better still with the top down. Only the previous E46 looks better in this class ...

The coupe and sedan are also as nice as the convertible IMHO.
However, in that pic of the IS convertible, I definitely see where the design flaw is.
Fortunately, if you look at it at another color, then that flaw is not that visible:
All it needed was it to be in another color and voila. The flaw is gone.
It's like magic
Anyways:
You can see more of it in my thread which is a mini-review of the IS 300C:
