Also don't forget NIssan moved their corporate HQ from Cali to TN to save money. Its clear when an autoplant it built today, the south dominates new openings.

From what I've heard at the No Doubt/Paramore show at the Concord Pavillion from a Genentech employee, Roche is leaning towards shuttering the Vacaville and South City manufacturing operations and moving them to Beaverton, OR.

Bayer is thinking about moving their Berkeley manufacturing and Richmond research center out of state as well.

California should be a "Right to Work" state.

Wow about Bayer, I know someone works at that site in Berkeley. Is there anywhere I can read of this possible change? Their web site?

I believe Roche Holdings of Switzerland doesn't own Genentech 100%. I believe they own about 50%? Correct me if I'm wrong.

Don't remind us Californians. California sucks for businesses to conduct business here especially manufacturing companies. California mostly has service type companies...

Wow. I didn't know that. I used to live in Richmond. I remember seeing the Bayer research center in northern Richmond when I would drive to the In-N-Out in Pinole...

Roche bought out the rest in the past year. This allows them to record the full revenues from Genentech on their balance sheet. Roche needed this as they have had some slowing of revenues.

Back to the Nummi plant, I saw that the Vibe outsold all of Buick in August and now the car is gone.

I just want to impale the GM management with one of those stupic clear plastic covers they put over the supercharger on the ZR1 (to me the most pathetic design element I have seen (since the overuse of the front fender vent).
