It reminds me more of an Accord now, I can now slap the Honda box-H on it and fool a few ricers now

I believe only the GSh gets the new grill, to align itself with the other hybrids

Yeah but even with the new grills, the design overall is much more cohesive and for a point, "to seperate hybrids from the other Lexus models". The Acura beaks are just a mess overall from head to toe.

I thought that at first but wouldn't the same product cycle apply to the Hybrid GS?

I might be missing you here but the HS debuted with the new Hybrid grill and the LS/GS are getting it as Lexus tries to differentiate their hybrids. They are not waiting for the new model LS/GS to roll out.

Wonder if the RX will get it

IIRC LSD is standard on the M3, not an option. Not sure if the 335 has this as an option though? I would think Lexus would offer it, even Infiniti uses a VLSD.

Knowing how cohesive Lexus tends to be I don't doubt that's why they did it. But seems to me that they would have spared the expense and just let the current design play out and debut the new GS sporting this representative grill.

I wonder if you can change the 460 grill for the 600. That is disgusting. IMO, I prefer the GS grill. I like how the horizontal bars progressively get thinner towards the bottom. IMO whats messing up the GS grill for some may be the ugly GIGANTIC chrome bezel surrounding the chrome horizontal bars. Its just to much chrome now.

I am also assuming that since the GS is getting minor refreshes (the rear lights changed a little bit too adding chrome rings), I'm guessing it may be around till 2011, with the 4GS debuting for the 2012 year.

Yeah, sort of except ZHP had wasn't just aesthetics. It had different suspension, software programming, etc., so it depends on what the F Sport Package will actually offer; I'm thinking it might be more along the lines of what Mercedes does with the non-AMG cars offering AMG packages. Hopefully it'll be more along the lines of the E46s w/ZHP.

It does a bit, at least in that picture. On the street, no resemblance.

Good gawd, I swear car designers these days are on crack. The LS 600h is really looking Avalon like.

Don't worry, the facelifted LS460's will still have the classy looking grill, but still extremely sad and disgusted to see them mutilate their flagship hybrid sedan with such a horrendous looking grill

The one good thing is, I won't have to contemplate about upgrading to a 600hL anymore
