Come on, guys. Some of you, I think, are clearly overpanning him. No, he's not always right (see my first post), and I agree that some of the Nissan/Infiniti products, under his leadership, suffered from a quality drop and cheap, unpleasant interiors (that has now been rectified). But, like him or not, it cannot be denied that his leadership (and some of the cost-cutting on Nissan products) saved Nissan, in the log run, from a threatened bankrupcy, and Nissan didn't have to end up getting governtment money and a partial takeover by their unions like GM and Chrysler did.
he wants people to buy cars now and not hold off for fear of the future, so he's putting out a positive message.
personally i think he's wrong, and even if economically the 'world' might improve, the u.s. debt load and coming inflation, new social programs and taxes on energy, healthcare, etc., are going to cripple growth.
