If you show up like a baller, then they might treat you well, but they'd also be less inclined to give you a good deal because they think you have money. I usually drive the worst car possible to a dealership. If everyone ignores me then I'll just go find someone when I need assistance, I could care less. I'd rather do that then get harassed by 10 salesmen.
