Since size is an issue due to future family plans leave the ISF and the C63 alone, they're to small for car seats. Stick with the E class CTS (check the rear room for this one too) STS/ 5 Series/ A6 /GS/ G37 etc.

How about an A6? They are pretty cheap and are very luxurious.

and if you can get past the badge

Taurus SHO and Genesis 4.6 is a great choice. SHO if you want something sporty, genesis v8 if you want luxury.

Ya, I guess the C-class is too small, that rules out the AMG C... The AMG E-class will probably be too expensive...

So, that leaves:

550i
LS 460
A6
CTS-V
E-Class

Still leaning towards the 550i... Although the A6 is mighty sweet looking...

In the end, it may depend on what deals on buying/leases the dealers have in Dec/Jan...

A base E350 is the same price as a base C63 AMG, iirc.

If you don't want to drop $75K+ on a C63 AMG...I would also look into the Mercedes E550 if you like the Mercedes styling. They start at $50K and move nicely...very comprable to the IS350 in terms of performance but a good amount larger. It is a nice car. I saw one in person at the dealer a while back. GL!

550i- yes to all except style and interior... whoops
LS 460- like posted before, you'll need bigger rims
A6- chip it, all-wheel drive monster or consider an S4
CTS-V- a BEAST... but... electrical problems and new GM solvency grumblings
E-Class- seats are rocks, otherwise beautiful

With other cars in your stable, do you need winter traction? Based on your above, A6 wins

I want a 4 door, with power and good looks... Was thinking about getting a 5 series... What's new and exciting that will be avail in December? Also, I can wait until next year (Jan, feb, whatever) as I have other cars to drive in the meanwhile...

On a side note, I am considering selling my IS350 to try and make some profit as the residual is $25.5k but it seems that I may be able to sell it for more than that...
I'd have to say a New 335i. A few buddies have them and they are quite nice. But I've driven the 5 many times when my car was in fro service and that's pretty nice too.

Ya, it's strongly looking like an E550. I am going to talk to some dealerships to see what the actual OTD price would be since mercedes base pricing is deceptive because of how EXPENSIVE their options are... My dad's e-class had like $15k in options... IIRC, even the metallic paint was like almost a g

Don't need winter traction as I have a jetta (FWD) and access to 2 4X4 SUV's if I need.

I think I'm leaning towards the E-class, E550.

Yes, new 3 series is nice, but I need a bigger car... Plus they are SO COMMON, plus I lived in the bay area before and I got sick of seeing 100 3-series every day to and from work, lol And ya, many of my buddies have them as well, so I need to get something different (better!) hahah...
