Maybe because of regulations or expense? I wouldnt mind if it was at the top and very bottom of the windshield.

I bet its because of the cost. Windshields are replaced quite often due to rock chips and cracks- adding an integrated antenna into it would only add $$$$$ to the price of it.

For those that don't like the antenna on the trunk, opt for the rear lip spoiler, which integrates the antenna into it and eliminates the antenna on the deck lid.

It amazing how a little thing like an antenna can affect the design of a car. When dont these manufacturers just use window antennas?

I didn't notice that antenna on the G37 vert in person.. Either way, it looks like a last minute addition. The same can be said of the antenna on the IS-C.
I guess R&D on the antenna will add a bit more to the cost of these cars??

I wonder if there is a reason manufacturers dont figure out a way to integrate an antenna into the area near the rear-view mirror.

Also, while I still don't like the G37 and like it even less in the convertible for, it still looks a lot better than the IS-C. I saw the two almost side-by-side the other day and while neither are exactly pretty, the G37, I felt, was noticeably better looking, but yeah, looks are subjective.
