Thanks guys! I'm happy to be done shopping for beaters - it was no fun checking out old Accords. lol.

Besides, it wouldn't be right starting a thread on CL without it ending with the purchase of a Lexus.

To be honest, it took a lot of searching. I was lucky that this one was close, but I was willing to search within a 100 mile radius, and the condition of the car took precedence over the specific model. Most IS's at the same price had a lot more miles.

However, I do think you'll be able to find a very nice used Lexus at a reasonable price for your mom. If she's looking to save money and is willing to buy a used car, then it makes a whole lot of sense to find a clean, used Lexus; we all know how well they hold up.
