I do about 50 miles round trip, its not that bad but it does get kind of boring in my camry. there isnt much traffic so i can usually go pretty quickly. only about 30 minutes

The traffic is the real factor here. Traffic is so bad now that even if my commute to my sons school is only about 25 miles, it takes us 1 hour and 15 minutes. I have to leave the house at 6:40AM to get him to school by 8AM, and sometimes we are late and I have to take him to the office for a pass. I wouldn't mind commuting 50 miles if it only took 1 hour to get to the destination.

WOW!!! SO I am the commuting distance king so far on this thread. I remember doing 148 mph into the desert with my G35. There is nobody out there and then when you get off the main highway and there is nothing but open roads once you get off the highway. I used to eat those miles up quick in my G35

Just found out im getting a 99 4 runner for winter, so less miles on the es, but would i be crazy to get a spitfire for a beater in the summer/ spring? There is one by my house for 3 grand, its a 78. I've been tossing the idea around for a good month now and i can't decide whether its worth it

Was commuting 53 miles each way here to Milwaukee for a while ... beat my old 9-mile commute (many times over 1 hour!!!) down I-575 every time!!!

As long as I don't deal with ATL traffic, it's a happy commute... even day trips to Chicago are better, as long as I am on the north side
