This happened at "GMR" a local SoCal canyon, I was there that day, passed right by the CHP taking note of it, very very sad, lol

Consider how many times his reaction time was off entering several turns. This is because he had no idea what/where the corners were as he was riding the car so closely his response time window is considerably less vs the EVO. The EVO knows exactly where he is heading as he has an open field of vision, the GTR driver could only see a bumper. Often the reaction comes once you see the car in front of you turning.
Given the circumstances I seriously doubt any one of us would have done any better. Sad he crashed it, was a nice car.

I don't think all of the smoke the Evo was spitting out was helping the GTR drivers visibility. I am surprised that the cars electronic traction control and VDC didn't straighten the car out. He must have had it turned off
