Wow. The IS250 AWD has really grown on me

Silly,so silly.
You're making yourself look like a fool.
I get the three major auto magazines and never read of any "steering feel" only on a 3 Series.
Subjective?BS.
Auto mags always call the BMW 3 Series a benchmark that others are copying and getting close right at the BMW level and the IS 250 isn't one of those cars.
Any auto enthusiest knows BMW 3 Series cars handle very well and it's not 'steering feel'.
I just bought my first BMW and I'm not a BMW fanboy.I've owned both cars and it's not even close when it comes to handling.

Bottom line, there is very little handling difference between these two cars. They are both average, but some BMW owners and magazines hype the 3 series as if its some kind of super car. It simply isnt.

Right, magazines. How do you determine your 3 series handles all that well, and better than IS250? Have you timed both at a track, both with the same tire setup and all else equal?

I know. It's all a conspiracy against the IS when in auto magazine tests, the BMW always wins against the IS..
You know nothing about cars,my friend.Stay the Lexus fanboy and continue to show your ignorance.
BTW,CAR & Driver just did a comparison on the new Audi S4 vs the BMW 335 and the Audi won.
What happened to your BMW and magazines theory?

The thread is about a IS 250AWD,isn't it?
I said the IS 350 is a nice car that has power twice but I don't care what and how many articles you can find, the IS 350 doesn't handle like a BMW let alone a 250 AWD..
I can cherry pic articles and blogs that go to the BMW too.
I driven both and the BMW wins and I'm not even a BMW guy. This is my first one and I'll probably try something else next time.

I do agree that the 2nd gen IS is much better than the 1st gen. Too bad the price have gone up so high. Almost $40K for a loaded IS250 AWD. For $40K there are better cars out there for the money. If AWD is not important, the ES350 is a better buy the IS250.

Guys lets move on.....
Och I do have to agree that while the IS 250 handles fine and is pretty nimble, the 3 series TO ME feels more "complete" from steering to handling. It really inspires confidence to me at high AND low speeds.
I will say I found the IS 250 to handle better than the IS 350 stock for stock. I always felt the IS 350 engine overpowered the car sometimes. With F-sport parts, the IS 350 is transformed and is very close to the BMW, the only thing missing is the steering.
Though I LIKE my Lexus to drive LIKE A LEXUS. If I want a BMW I'll go to the dealership

Let me be very clear on this.
Handling wise, IS350 will be similar to 335, IS250 will be similar to 325/328, and IS250awd will be similar to 325/328awd. Some people prefer the 3, some prefer the IS, and a lot of it subjective. Show me track times with identical conditions and identical tire setup if you want to prove BMW's prowess.
Of course the 335 has a lot sportier setup than IS250awd, and its just not a fair comparison. Of course your going to like it better, much like you probably would if you switched from a 325 awd to IS350.
With that being said, the IS250 awd isnt exactly an exciting sports car, and it doesn't pretend to be. Like I said before, its a nice and capable compact luxury sedan, its interior is a nice place to be in, and while it may not seem as good value as lets say ES350, its drives and feels a lot more solid. Of course there is no denying that it could use an extra 30-50 horses under the hood.

Mike, well thats very fair and I will respect that, but when I see someone post something like "BMW handling is so superior because IS250AWD feels like a slug compared to my 335 and people only buy it for the badge" it makes me wanna reply with something equally obnoxious.

It's the truth.
I can't post that because this is a Lexus forum?
BTW,it's a slug compared to a 328 both in quickness and handling and any auto enthusiest would know that.
Just once more for grins and giggles.
