Makes a huge difference. Every aspect of the dealer's operation is a reflection of the brand to the customer. My local Lexus dealer seemed burdened by my request to price a part, and weren't too eager to get me the information. I waited 20 minutes at the parts counter at the Toyota dealer before anyone spoke to me. Went to go get in my car afterwords and a salesman in a Corolla make sure to let me know he wasn't pleased with where I had parked even though I was clearly on my way out. Makes me feel nice and welcome.

Like most things, total value is important. By that I mean the right combination of pricing and decent service is important. Lexus is hard to beat from a pure service standpoint.
