G35 03-06 owners...need wheel/spring help
Got a bud who has a G35 and is trying to throw 20s on it. He texted me does he have to drop it. I replied yes or we can't be friends.
I told him a 1" drop would be fine but I really am not aware of G35's aftermarket but I know its ample. I gave him a link to G35driver and GFrenzy as well.
Anyone here can give some advice on what springs/coils work? He is also looking for black wheels with spokes so if you have any pics please post! Thanks

Eibach Pro-Kits will give you an inch or so of drop; if he's not on a budget coil-overs get some coil overs; being adjustable it always nice...
My friend had Eibachs on a coupe and was able to get away without using a camber kit and didnt experience any I'll effects on his tire wear. The tire place was able to correct the alignment enough since it's about as mild of a drop as you can get.

I had a set of Tanabe GF210 springs and Tokico D spec adjustable shocks and it worked very very well on the street or the track. I also has Nismo sway bars, Kinetix racing upper control arms, toe arms, and camber arm, as well as all of the suspension bushing replaced to Energy suspension bushings.

I'm on 20's (10.5) in the rear. I have a 1 finger gap in the rear and the car hasn't been lowered.
20's do a pretty good job of filling in the gaps.....unless he wants a tuck. (dont go as wide as mine)
Edit:.....ah, its the sedan.

Mine has the stock set-up.
Sorry, I should have paid more attention in the beginning. He's not running an aggressive set-up, so lowering wont be a problem.
I have aggressive wheels, so they rub even with the fenders rolled. (no way I could lower it unless I shaved them).

GF210s and the Pro-Kits are about the same drop IIRC, 1.5" F, 1" R.
Again, my friend had a coupe, so I'm not sure if it's the same for the sedan, perhaps I8ABMR can comment on the actual drop. It also looks like he took some camber corrective measures, whereas my friend was able to get away w/o any camber correction kits. Maybe the amount of correction through alignment settings is different between the coupe and sedan. If your friend needs camber correction pieces it's obviously going to cost him more.
IMO, I8ABMR's drop and wheel combo looks good. It's not the lowest but I also doubt he had any clearance issues or any other issues from going "too" low.

not a sedan, but had an 04 coupe with the tein s-tech springs.. drop was perfect imo.. low enough and felt almost like a stock. my friend w/ 04 coupe is currently running the same set up. it's been 5 years and not a single problem so far. highly recommend it! might need a camber kit though..
