Tolerance is a two-way road.

I acknowledge its a style, but I think its an ugly one; its a preference, not a personal jab towards anyone. Seeing as this style in specific is for the purpose of show vs function, I think its fair for people to express those opinions.

This trend too will soon pass....For show purposes I think its cool, like it or not it gives you something different to look at. Car shows gets pretty boring when everything is done the same, might as well walk the dealer lot of your favorite make, for free..

To be fair, a lot of people at shows have this style, so its not so different, anymore (hence the trend). I don't think anyone is saying they don't like different things...just that there is a line between good different and not-so-good different.

To each their own.

I like wheels to be aggressive...

But it looks weird from the three-quarter view when the wheels are super-aggressive and rear tires are too narrow. It sort of looks like stock skinny tires are just spaced way out, and the right and left wheels begin to look "too far apart" from each other when viewed from the rear.

Add some maxed-out camber, view the car at an angle, and you can practically see the inside of the rear tire behind the bumper. It just looks odd to me.

I'd prefer to see even wider rear wheels with wider tires - maybe 275 on 11.5" instead of 245 on 10.5"

FWIW, my 2GS has 20x11.5 with a slightly stretched 295/25-20 out back!

I hear ya, all trends get old and tired i.e. lambo doors / lcd screens in all the senseless locations etc. when this stuff is new though its interesting to see.

Of course I would never have any of this done to any cars of mine, personally I would never even add any carbon fiber bits to my car as I feel it only belongs on super/exotic cars.

i see similar setups on a lot of lexus too to be fair. this is just the extreme vip setup that a lot of people refer to. not my cup of tea, i think that's over the top, but it's a style

Yeah Henry this wasn't about Infiniti as Lexus and even now Hondas, Yugos, Volvos, everyone does it.

I want to say it originated from VWs though...
